Mike Vespa asked:
Going back to Antalya, Turkey and Capadocia and Kas, Turkey.
Where is a great restaurant to eat and what is great to have?
I don’t want to miss out on a great meal while I’m there.
I’d love to hear your suggestion about where to eat in Turkiye.

I’ll tell you a few dishes from Antalya region, which I think you might like to try them while you are there though if you haven’t yet. I don’t have a name of a restaurant to recommend, but if you see lots of people eating in a restaurant you can pretty much think that food must be good there.
If you don’t want to miss out the regional specialites then you must try these. If I remember more dishes I will come back and add.
- Sac Kavurmasi – meat braised and stewed with green peppers, onions and tomatoes
- Antalya Piyazi – boiled beans with tahini, garlic, walnuts served cold
- Kabak Tatlisi – Pumpkin desserts
- Saksuka – Dry fried egg plants in tomato garlic sauce
- Zeytinyaglilar – vegetable dishes with olive oil served cold
- Must try Zerde its a type of dessert too – some like it some don’t
- Bergamot jam (Bergamot is fruit grown in the region)
Here is a good link mentioning a lot of restaurants with reviews. Take a look!
Not a specialty of the region but try various sorts of Kebab (iskender, adana….) and desserts (dairy ones like sütlac, kazan dibi, irmik tatlisi or those made of dough in syrup: tulumba tatlisi, tel kadayif…)
